Hi all,

I'm two-thirds of the way through posting my stories to Archive of Our Own.  All the individual stories from miscellaneous fandoms are up.  These include fandoms with one, two, three or four stories only. Next up - organising all the RnHd fics by series and posting them, including several chapter fics.

Remember, I'm keeping my fanfic net acct and future stories will be cross-posted.

Oh, and there's a couple stories I did not post to the AO3 account that are still on the Fan Fiction Net account; I just didn't think it was worth it.

Hi all,

I'm posting from my phone so this will be brief. I actually got a chance to sit down and get some writing done yesterday! Course it was pouring down rain all afternoon, but that somehow helped. I'm now at 21 or 22 pages. Hopefully, I'll get a basic spell-check and proof-reading done, and get it to my beta soon. Like before Tues - because Tues and Weds I have to be in Detroit on a sorta' business trip.

Hi all,

I am now officially working on my third White Collar fanfic!  It's at my beta, however the story isn't done by a long shot, so it will probably be a bit before it gets posted.  It is an actual case fic, but rest assured angst/ hurt/comfort will be involved, because, it's, like me - and I rarely if ever write anything else.

While I've been waiting to get my proofs back from my beta for my first "White Collar" story, I actually started a second story. That one is almost done, but it will need to be beta'd of course. I'll post links when both stories are up. I love having a new fandom! --Olivia

I've got a new fandom! Yep, I've been totally sucked in by "White Collar". I'm working on a fic now, which is about 2/3rds done. I'll post a notification and link to the story when it's done.
And it's fun -- for the first time in years, my museum studies background is actually *useful* (smirk).

Well, G0Shawk's TV meme has really inspired me to work on a fic that was laying unfinished on my hard drive for awhile.  Plus, I found a short piece in the same universe that needs to be cleaned-up and finished, then posted.  And, I've written-up a character info sheet for potential betas.  So -- if anyone would like to beta some Thunderbirds fic (TV-verse), let me know.

Hi all,

As promised, here is my updated list of on-line fanfics.  Twenty-seven in all, wow!  ' Course, it took a few years to write that many.  And I encourage anyone to check these out.  Oh, and Word file copies are available, simply e-mail me with the fic title in the subject line of your e-mail,  and I'll send the attachment.

Ah, the joys of a new fandom.  The rush of reading everything on fanficnet.  The joys of Googling!
And the utter frustration of figuring out Live Journal!
Yep, I still haven't gotten the hang of Live Journal-- everything on here seems backwards to me.  But I'm getting ahead of myself.

I like real medical shows, as well as their dramatic cousins.  (I've been watching the dramas since Emergency!, as well as the obvious hospital shows of St. Elsewhere and E/R.  Currently, I simply LOVE House, M.D.)  I was watching one such real medical show, Untold Stories of the E/R, which ended-up being about Munchausen by Proxy, when I got an idea for a fanfic.  So I started writing--very quickly.  Even with a couple of long distractions (dinner, and watching Stargate:  Atlantis  on DVD) I ended-up with a short story with a beginning, a middle, and an end-- and something completely different than my usual fanfic style.  I normally write long, detailed, researched stories, that get sent back and forth to at least one beta prior to being proof read a final time before posting.

This was something different entirely-- an quickly written, emotion-driven story, rather than a character-driven or plot-driven (or idea-driven) one, that I was actually happy enough with to post.  Immediately.
Well-- I posted it four times-- on fanfic net, on Psychfic, and twice on live-journal, and that's where the problems started.  Now, the post didn't even go thru' on Psychfic, but I just opened my acct there last night, so I plan on going back today and fixing it.  The post to fanfic net went normally (and I've already gone back and re-posted the story to fix the errors I noticed AFTER posting.  Typical!)

The good news was I checked my e-mail around nine this morning and it was full of comments.  I had three good reviews from fanfic net, which was awesome-- I've never gotten THAT many good reviews so quickly (I mean, I posted the story around 11pm last night-- and I had three reviews by 9am this morning, WOW.  By contrast, I still haven't any reviews for the two old RGB stories that I finally posted a week or two ago.  Which doesn't bother me, I use fanficnet like it was intended, as an on-line archive).

The bad news was that I apparently totally screwed-up posting the story to live-journal.  OK-- I accept that I made a mistake and somehow broke the rules.  But you'd think that at least one person who e-mailed me to point that out would have explained either the proper procedure for posting stories-- or pointed me to the correct page explaining the rules, and how to post!  Telling me the "code" doesn't help, since I don't know anything about HTML programming (I know UNIX/Linux, networking, database, and basic security, but HTML/web design is just not my thing!)

Anyway, that's my rant.   From now on, I'll stick with fanfic net.  And probably Psychfic, because I should be able to figure out, with some admin help, how to post there.  But I don't think I'll post a fic here again.  Sorry.
Expect to see announcements in this space when I post to fanficnet, when I remember to post the announcment.  But no fics.

Well, yesterday I had a good writing day-- the first for ages! Wrote for awhile an a RNHD fic, but the problem was it was an alternative version of the fic I'm *supposed* to be working on. Wonder if that means I'll end up posting it anyway?
Also, watched *Doctor Who* on Sci-Fi last night-- it was NOT as good as I had expected, especially with a title like "Daleks in Manhattan" (I was actually expecting something humorous-- so far, Big Finish's "Invaders from Mars" was better). Who woulda' thought that Daleks could be boring! And the really bad accents were annoying.
Still, after that I watched *Psych* which was really good. I mean, for a network USA show, it was really good-- this season's been *awesome*. So, I went to fanfic net to look for fic-- and they had *finally* added a *Psych* category. There's some very good fics there as well. Which just goes to show my fanfic theory is right: if the show has good/great characters, poor plots, an easy-to-play with setting (e.g. not something that requires a lot of research--like a good historical or SF), you get GREAT fanfic. You especially get great angst and h/c. I wonder if I could find or even edit a zine for *Psych* by next Mediawest.

I had an excellent writing day yesterday! I basically was writing all day long. Unfortunately, what I was working on (what my creative muse told me I "had" to write) was an alternative version of the RnHd story I'm currently working on (tenitively titled "Aftermath"). I'd gotten a lot of work done on that too, over the past week, but I had a nagging idea for a different direction to take the story, and man, it just flowed. Everytime I took a break on it, I just HAD to go back and work on it some more, I couldn't concentrate on much else. So much for studying for my Network + exam, fixing up my resume, or getting work done on the "real" version of "Aftermath" that I plan on pubbing to Fanfic Net when it's done. (My beta's been great on that too!)
I'll tell ya, writing when it flows well, though, it's such a burn, such a "high" and it feels great!

Anyway, I was writing pretty much all day, til Consumer's Power turned off our power. Well, at least they gave us some warning. It seems an electric pole in our back yard got hit by lightening; there was a big black mark on it, and a hole in the pole-- and no one in my family ever noticed! (And apparently we had the lightening strike sometime last Summer or Fall). What's ya' going to do?
It took about half an hour for Consumers to fix the pole, and then we got our power back, but by then I wasn't as pumped-up about writing. Tho' I did play with some of the dialogue while watching TV last night.

Speaking of Friday night TV-- What's the deal with Sci Fi channel suddenly NOT showing "Heros"? I had my networking class on Monday, so I taped it (thank god) on NBC, but I've missed at least one episode, maybe more, 'cause Sciffy only ran one episode after the show came back from Winter hiatus. I really think that network's run by idiots! And now, if I do tape "Heroes" I won't be able to tape either "Silent Witness" on BBCA or "Mystery Diagnosis" on Discovery Health! ARRRRGGGG! (Yeah, I know, I need a Tivo. But I'm poor!).

Have a good one, all you out there that read this!
