New Computer
Jun. 28th, 2011 10:41 amRebuilding everything continues on my new computer, which is SWEET by the bye. The new machine has Windows 7 OS, 1 Terabyte hard-drive, 6 GB RAM, and I ordered MS. Office Pro with it. I also ordered Acrobat Pro but there are issues with that. But I also have a 1 Terabyte external hard drive, so I actually have 2 Terabytes of storage space (that's 2048 GBs). Plus since a lot of my personal files were ON the external drive I didn't have to worry about them and it was easy to transfer a copy of any local files I needed to my hard drive, plus the backup on the external drive.
One thing I was upset about was I thought I'd lost my entire iTunes library and I'd have to re-upload every CD I own. But I found where my auto-backup stored the files, so I was able to import a folder at a time - lots faster than uploading thru' itunes and accessing the CD info thru' Gracenote. (I did my music vids over the weekend). So now the only CDs I need to upload are new ones I've bought over the last few months.
I also have been installing games, and testing them out, which is way fun. Currently, I'm obsessed with Microsoft's "Rise of Nations - Rise of Legends", I'm playing the Steampunk campaign which is super fun.
