Updates for the week

Bad news first. We had to put down our dog on Tuesday. She was 11, and suddenly got very sick, was vomiting for two days (and a night) and her kidneys shut down and she had liver failure. There just wasn't anything we could do for her. Poor old dog.
Yesterday, we were supposed to get a blizzard -- and it just didn't happen. We had a bit of snow, here and there, but overall - not the disaster they were predicting.
Woke up this morning though to a ton of snow! And it's been snowing heavily all day, so I guess the storm didn't so much not happen as was "fashionably" late. But that's why I haven't been posting - it's just been kinda' nuts at the moment.
I did pass my Microsoft test on Monday though. I am now a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist: Database Developer (SQL Server 2008). Hopefully, this will help on the job front. I do expect to get certified in Admin too, but probably not 'til mid or even late January.
