Torchwood Day 2

Hi all,
Not as much of a mind-blower as Day One, but still very, very good. It was a lot of running around, getting the characters back together after the last five minutes of Day One. Which is very much grand Doctor Who style.
Spoilers below (Details under the cut, click link).
OK, so Gwen, and Ianto survived (bless him). And Jack's not dead (fortunately - be we knew he couldn't die). Poor Jack, what agonizing torture -- you think he remembers it? If so, he needs to take it out of that *itch who dumped the concrete's hide.
Ianto, with the construction outfit, hard-hat, boots, oh man -- every gay man's dream! And did he look hot or what? Gods. I bet Jack's gonna want to play out that little scene. Um-hum. But, yeah, Ianto to the rescue, AWE-some! (Tho', come to think of it, Ianto frequently comes to the team's rescue, remember "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang"?)
And naked Jack. Again. Still, John Barrowman's definitely easy on the eyes. I was just a bit more concerned about him -- I mean, he's blown up, reassembles himself, and is then buried in concrete. Eeep! that's even worse than being buried alive for 100 years. (I bet Jack's first question when he realised he was alive again was "when?" And then he was happy to see Ianto and Gwen.)
Gwen -- okay, points for reminding Rhys things they can be traced with, including the car, BUT she forgets that they can be tracked via ATMs? WHAT was she thinking?
Rhys -- God, I love him. Great line from him about Gwen knowing how to stop alien invasions - but HE knows the haulage (or trucking) business. Loved Gwen telling Rhys she was pregnant. I kinda' wonder if for names she wouldn't want to pick Owen or maybe Tosh (tho' I don't think it would work well for the child).
The temp -- OK, I like her, and I love how she's helping Torchwood. But I still think we don't know everything about her. I just don't think she's as conveniently innocent as she claims -- she's UNIT, or maybe sent by the Doctor, or something, but despite RTD's comments in the post-game show, I doubt she "just happened to be there".
The conspiracy -- hum. All three of them (Frobisher, the woman, Spraggs, and Dekker) are SO dead. I think Dekker's an alien, personally, especially with the way he licked the glass trap on the building.
Here's something interesting: Dekker was the name of Harrison Ford's character in Blade Runner - who turned out to be a Replicant. Frobisher is the name of one of the (6th) Doctor's apocryphal companions - the shape-changing penguin from the comics, the BBC Past Dr. Adv. novel "Mission: Impractical", and two Big Finish plays that I know of "The Holy Terror" and "The Maltese Penguin" (which I loved). I don't know if these are connected. I suspect using a previous companion's name was probably an accident - usually DW is very good about that.
Can't wait for tomorrow's ep. AND I have to teach - so I won't see it until Thursday morning. Rats!
See you all then!
