AAAARRRRGH! OK, 3rd time's the charm

Hiya-

Now REALLY, how hard is it to post a fic?  First, I posted this under a writing prompt on one of my communities, but I kept getting a warning that the parts were too long.  So eventually (I tried posting in parts and there were just too many), I posted this last night (or maybe Thrusday - whenever), here on my journal.  Now this was LATE, and I totally forgot to use a LJ cut.  OK.  So I got comments about using a LJ cut, and actually when I woke up this morning I figured I should switch it to a cut for the story.  Guess what?  Editing did NOT work!  So I just deleted the whole entry and I'm going to start over, and just post links.   Gods I hope this works!
