I finally got my phone software working!

Hi all -
Well, I bought a cell phone in Sept for work. I didn't want to give out my home phone number to students, so I got a cell phone so they can contact me. And I went to one of those mobile phone stores, that was having a special "grand opening" sale, because I needed a free phone, and they were promising a really cool one.
I got there, and they basically had two deals -- if your credit check was ok you got the fancy phone, and if it wasn't you got the basic one. Much to my surprise, I passed the credit check (don't ask). So, I got the really fancy Sony Ericsson phone with built-in camera, mp3 player, file manager, contacts/calender - the works.
I also bought (for $25.00) the data cable to transfer files from the phone to my pc and back.
I then went home and tried to download the software for the phone. Well, I have dial-up (yes, I live in the middle of nowhere). It took HOURS, and then the software wouldn't install. So, a few days later, I went to the McSchool where I did my certification program, borrowed a pc and downloaded the software to my flash drive, and brought it home. Tried to install it - no go. Called the cell phone company, and was told "try to install it with your virus software off". Now, I knew that wasn't the greatest idea, but I figured I'd try it. The program still wouldn't install.
Well, I got busy (work, holidays) so I just put the whole idea on the back burner.
Over Christmas break, tho, I set-up and installed a relatively new Gateway computer (XP) in the house. So I copied the Sony Ericsson file to my thumb drive, took it from my PC to the Gateway, and installed the software. To my shock, it worked! I also copied my "phone files folder" to the thumb drive and moved that to the other PC, and created a "Phonefiles2" folder on that pc. I copied the files (pictures) from the phone to phonefiles2, copied the files (pics and sounds) from "Phonefiles" to the phone. I then disconnected the phone. After that I checked and sure enough, my pics (and sounds) had been updated.
So -- anyone know how I can either:
A: -- Edit .mp3 files (Specifically, I'd like to use some music files that I have as ringtones) Actually, any info, even links to websites that explain making ringtones, I'd be interested in.
B. -- Know of a website with *Doctor Who* THEME ringtones (classic or new series) -- must allow downloads to the US
And about pictures - I tried to upload/link a picture last night and it didn't work. Anyone know what I did wrong?
Now-- weather. After the blizzard yesterday I woke up to a total of 4-6 inches of snow, but about 2 inches of that was old. And we got some flurries today. I hope frequent snow doesn't continue as frequent rain in April or May or we will have some serious flooding around here, like we did a few years ago. I mean, my house is on high ground and well away from any of the three rivers - but I have to cross a bridge to get out of the immediate area, no matter what way I go!
