For some reason when I posted the link below to Henry's page it didn't allow me to comment on it. Anyway, I highly recommend Henry's blog, especially for fans because he understands what we do and "justifies" it. Under recent blog entries, his recent entry on Critical Information Studies for Participatory Culture is very interesting, if a bit long. He covers a lot of topics.

Or check out the original link if you haven't heard of Henry. Also I highly recommend his book Textual Poachers. It's the book that started the whole taking fans seriously idea.
His blog entries cover a lot of topics I'd love to get into in detail -- from defending fanvid (music vid) makers UNDER the law. To complaining about Web 2.0 using free labor -- where the profits don't go to the ones producing the content.
